“…the Winklevoss twins, Cameron and Tyler, really did show up at the house of outspoken Barstool Sports president Dave Portnoy to teach him about Bitcoin, blockchain, and cryptocurrency.
And while it was debatable whether the Gemini co-founders were really wearing the full rowing uniforms (from their college days and The Social Network), as Portnoy originally demanded, they did come with a mission: ‘We’re here to make you a Bitcoin billionaire,’ said one brother.
Portnoy looked perplexed as they explained how Bitcoin mining and blockchain work, with the brothers saying things such as ‘Blockchain is like a scorecard’ and ‘miners are like a referee.’
‘Gold is for boomers,’ they added. ‘Bitcoin is the only fixed asset in the galaxy.’”
